Pet Parent App & Portal for vet clinics

Rosie's food refill is requested in your app,
not on line two while the counter waits.
Rosie's refill comes through your app, not on line two.

Pet Parent App & Portal is a veterinary mobile app and web portal in your practice's name, for US vet practices. Pet parents check records and vaccines, ask for refills, sign forms and book from their phone.

  • Refill requests reach the DVM in writing
  • Branded with your logo
CompanionBooked's refill queue with Rosie's prescription food request just in from the pet parent app, waiting on Dr. Holt to approve.

Refills, forms and records

The requests that used to wait on line two

Request a demo

10:45 a.m. The counter has a line, and the phones hold three pet parents: a heartworm refill, a rabies certificate for boarding, a food order. The app moves those off the phone and onto a screen.

The requests by phone

Before CompanionBooked: a legal pad of requests phoned in by 10:55 a.m., a heartworm refill, a rabies certificate for boarding and a renal diet among them, with a pink message slip and a note that three callers are on hold.

The Pet parent app tab in CompanionBooked: the app's name, icon, colors and home screen in the practice's branding, the forms, refill types and payments pet parents see, approved by the practice manager.

We take your logo and colors and set up the app's name, icon and home screen. Your practice manager picks which forms, refill types and payment options pet parents see.

Through the week

Four calls your desk no longer has to take

  • On your website

The portal, linked from your site

At 9:30 p.m. a pet parent opens your site to check Bella's vaccine dates. There's a phone number and nothing else, so they call at 8 a.m. Our team puts a portal login in the menu of the site we make for you, and the dates are one tap away.

    • A Pet parent login button in your site's top menu, styled to match.
    • The same login opens records, forms, invoices and wellness plans.
The animal hospital's website with a Pet portal button in its header for vaccine dates, refills and visits.
  • Refills

    Refill requests in writing

Refill calls come in all morning, and each one means pulling the record, asking the DVM and calling back. In the app, a pet parent picks the pet, the medication or food and the amount. The request arrives in the shared inbox. Nothing is filled until the DVM approves it.

    • Requests show the pet, the item and the quantity asked for.
    • The pet parent gets a text when it's ready to collect.
The practice's refill requests: a queue of pets and medications from the app, with Winston's Apoquel request open for Dr. Holt to approve.
  • Vaccines due

    One household, every pet due

A family with two dogs and a cat gets three reminders on three different days, and the cat's is for a vaccine done last month. The app shows each pet's vaccine dates from your PIMS, and one reminder text names every pet due, with one booking link for all of them.

    • Due dates kept current from your PIMS records.
    • A single text covers every pet in the household that's coming due.
The Williams household in Reminders: Milo and Cooper due the same week, Simba's FVRCP already given, and one text naming both dogs with one booking link.
  • First visit

    Forms finished before arrival

Today the first-time pet parent at 4:00 fills out three pages at the counter while your CSR waits to type them up. Through the app, new-client and consent forms are signed at home and saved as a PDF on the pet's record.

    • Signatures taken on a phone or a tablet.
    • Surgery and boarding consent signed the night before.
Mochi's spay papers in CompanionBooked, signed by Grace Kim in the pet parent app at home: the new client form, the estimate and the surgery consent, saved as a PDF on Mochi's record.

Also included

  • Photo uploads from home
  • Wellness plan status
  • Vaccine certificates
  • Pay with Apple Pay
  • Boarding and surgery consent forms
  • A web portal if they skip the app

6 questions

Can pet parents see their pet's records?

Yes. Each pet's records and vaccine history come over from your PIMS and show in the app and portal.

What if a pet parent won't use the app?

They don't have to: the same records, forms and payments open in a web portal from a link in your texts.

Can pet parents request prescription and food refills?

Yes. Pet parents choose the pet and the medication or food in the app, and the request lands in your inbox. Nothing is refilled until a DVM approves it, and they get a text when it's ready.

Can pet parents sign forms and pay by phone?

Yes. Forms from new-client to boarding consent get a signature on their phone, and bills go on a card or Apple Pay.

Is the app in our practice's name and logo?

Yes. Pet parents download an app with your practice's name and logo on it, listed under your name in both stores.

Does the app work on both iPhone and Android phones?

Yes, the app runs on iPhone and Android, and the web portal opens in any phone or computer browser.
