Compatible PIMS for veterinary practices

Last night's online bookings,
already in your PIMS before the desk opens at 8.
Last night's bookings, already in your PIMS at 8 a.m.

CompanionBooked syncs with your veterinary PIMS: bookings, reminders and messages read from it and written back into it, for US vet practices. Your CSRs stop retyping, and the schedule stays one schedule.

  • Bookings written to the PIMS
  • Nothing typed twice
Online bookings made since close, waiting for a CSR to approve them.

Live in 14 daysNo contract. No setup fee.

  • Two-way sync
  • Cloud-based PIMS and server-based PIMS alike
  • Web bookings written to the PIMS

  • Reminders run off live due dates

Two systems, or one schedule

The PIMS stays the record. Both sides stay in step.

Request a demo

At 8 a.m. your CSR prints last night's online requests and types each one into the PIMS while line two rings. A reminder goes out for a vaccine Bella had last month. Here is what a two-way sync changes.

The double-entry morning

Before CompanionBooked: last night's online requests printed and typed into the PIMS one by one, while the reminder service texts Bella for a DA2PP booster the PIMS shows she had in October.

Getting set up

Your PIMS linked up before day 14

You sign off; our people wire it up.

CompanionBooked's PIMS check on the first call: a cloud-based PIMS confirmed, and a list of what reads in and what writes back.

We start by learning which PIMS you run, whether it's cloud-based or on a server in the building, and what you want synced. You'll know that day exactly what reads in and what writes back.

Across the practice

Where the sync shows up in your week

Phones, texts, booking, ads and reviews all read from your PIMS and save to it, so the dates, names and pets stay right.

  • The 8 a.m. desk

    Nothing to retype

Last night's three online bookings sit on the PIMS schedule when the doors open. Your CSR starts the day answering line one, not typing.

    • Each booking arrives with its intake form attached
    • Request-to-book lets a CSR accept each one first
The schedule at 7:52 a.m. with last night’s three online bookings already on it, written to the PIMS.
  • Late afternoon

    Calls logged on the record

At 4:10 a pet parent phones about yesterday's bloodwork. Your CSR clicks to call back from the record, and the call, its recording and the voicemail transcript are noted in the PIMS. Tomorrow's CSR sees the whole story before picking up.

    • Click-to-call from the pet parent's record
    • Voicemails transcribed and saved where the next CSR will look
Rosie's record in CompanionBooked with the callback about her bloodwork logged: the recorded call, the voicemail written out and the CSR's note in the PIMS.
  • The ads

    Each new client, traced

Most ad reports stop at clicks and calls. Because each booking writes into your PIMS, our team can follow a new client from the Facebook ad or Google search that found you to the first appointment and what it was worth. You see which ads bring pets through the door, and we move the budget to them.

    • Each new client and the revenue matched to its campaign
    • Your practice pays its ad spend straight to the ad platforms.
Ava Lopez traced from the practice's Facebook kitten ad to Maple's first visit, worth $214, for $18.60 in ads.

Lunch calls booked into the PIMS

The desk is at lunch and line one rings. The AI receptionist answers, says it's an assistant, and books Luna's booster into a time your PIMS shows as open. The booking is on the schedule before your CSRs are back, and anything it couldn't settle waits for them.

    • Urgent calls follow your practice's protocol
    • Notes from each call kept on the pet's record
A lunch call the AI receptionist booked into an open time from the practice's PIMS, saved to the schedule before the desk came back.
  • Booster

    One text for the household

Bella had a rabies shot in March and Max is due in May. The reminder reads both dates from your PIMS, skips Bella and names Max, in one text from your practice number. Once Max is vaccinated, that reminder stops.

    • Every pet due in a household named in a single text, not three
    • Lapsed clients get a win-back text at 18 months
The Sullivan household in Reminders: Bella's rabies shot from March read from the PIMS and skipped, Rosie due in May, and one text from the practice's number that names only Rosie.
  • Checkout

    Reviews

A review request should follow a visit, not a booking that never happened. When checkout is recorded in your PIMS, a short text asks for a Google review. A pet that didn't come in never gets one, and every review gets an answer from our team, signed as your practice.

    • Requests go out only after a visit is checked out in your PIMS
    • Google reviews get a reply we write for you
The review request that goes out only after a checkout is recorded in the practice's PIMS, with every review answered.

Also synced

PIMS FAQs

Straight answers on syncing your PIMS

Type a word like sync or forms and only those questions stay.

6 questions

Will it sync with my PIMS?

It syncs with cloud-based and server-based PIMS alike. Tell us which one you run on a demo, and you'll see what reads in and what writes back before you sign anything.

What does "works with" mean: what syncs and what doesn't?

Here it means a two-way sync: clients, pets, appointments and due dates come in from your PIMS, while bookings, confirmations, texts and signed forms go back. Charts and payments remain in the PIMS.

Must we replace our PIMS?

No, you keep the PIMS you have, and your DVMs keep charting in it. We connect to it rather than replace it, so your schedule, records and invoices stay where your team already works. What changes is everything around it: the phones, texts, online booking, reminders, website and marketing, each one reading from your PIMS and writing back. Mid-switch to a new PIMS? Tell us on the demo and we'll connect to the new one.

What happens to my client list?

Your client and pet list comes over from your PIMS at setup, with each pet's due dates. Your appointments stay in the PIMS, and new ones booked through us are written back to it.

PIMS not listed yet?

Ask us on a demo. If your PIMS isn't connected yet, we'll say so plainly and show you what runs without it today: phones, texting, online booking and the website.

Is switching worth the work?

There's less to switch than you'd think: your PIMS stays, and our people handle setup, the import and training. Month to month, no setup fee, live in 14 days.
