On their phone

How a new pet parent books from your site

A family new to town looks for a vet at 9 p.m., on a phone, with the desk long closed. Here is their path through the site we build, from Google to a set time.

  1. The animal hospital's page for Apex pet parents on a phone, with its services and prices and a Book online button.

    9:00

    Finds you on Maps

Your Google listing opens a page written for your town and services.

  2. The animal hospital's own website on a phone at 9:02 p.m., open on its team page with each veterinarian's photo, short bio and the pets and care they offer.

    9:02

    Meets your DVMs

Real photos and short bios of each vet, with the species and care they offer.

  3. The practice's booking page on a phone at 9:05 p.m., with open days and times for Nala's kitten exam ready to tap.

    9:05

    Picks a time

The calendar is right there to tap.

  4. A new client's phone at 9:06 p.m. with a booking confirmation from CompanionBooked Animal Hospital and a link to the new patient form.

    9:06

    Booked

A confirmation text arrives from your practice number, with a form to fill.

The build

We write every page, and you're live in 14 days

It's 9:30 p.m., the site editor is open for the holiday hours, and the 2019 team photo is still on the home page. Here, one call with us replaces that evening.

The CompanionBooked app showing the practice's new website, with the home page and services page waiting for the owner's okay.
  1. One call, then words

We ask about your DVMs, services, species and hours, then write every page in words pet parents understand.

  2. Your old site

Bios, service pages and photos from your old site come across, and we handle the domain and the switch.

  3. A design of its own

Your logo and colors, with pictures of your own staff and building, so the site looks like nobody else's.

  4. Article library

A library of pet-health articles pet parents can read before they call: vaccines, dental care, new kittens.

On every site

What's built into each practice site we make

  1. Service pages, one per visit type

Wellness exams, dentals, surgery, puppy and kitten visits: each gets its own page, written for what pet parents type.

  2. Multi-location sites

Two or more practices under one name, and each location shows its own hours, phone line, DVMs and calendar.

  3. Hosting and backups handled

We pay for hosting, run the backups and keep the code updated. There's no plugin to patch and no host to call.

The animal hospital's website on a phone, with Book online, new client, wellness plan and pet portal buttons, and its doctors.
  1. Built to be found on Google

Quick pages, local details and tidy code, laid out so Google, Bing and ChatGPT can read each page.

  2. Phone-first pages

Built for the small screen first: short pages, quick to load, with buttons a thumb can hit while holding a leash.

  3. Logo and colors, designed

No logo yet, or one from years back? Our team designs one, picks colors that suit your practice and uses them across the site.

After launch

After it's live, we keep at it

When it goes live, our team keeps at it. Here is what runs underneath the pages.

  • Web chat

The chat box on CompanionBooked Animal Hospital's website answering a pet parent's question about kitten shots at 9:14 p.m. with two Saturday times.

A chat box on every page answers pet parents day and night and passes what it can't settle to your CSRs.

  • Site reports

CompanionBooked's website report for October: visits, calls from the site and visits booked online.

Each month you see how many people visited, called from the site and booked online, and which page or search sent them.

  • Unlimited edits by us

Website edits done by the CompanionBooked team this month: a new doctor's photo and bio, Thanksgiving hours, and a laser therapy page going up.

Email a new DVM's photo, the holiday hours or a new service, and our team puts it on the site. No limit, no fee.

  • Forms that reach you

The website's forms this month: new-client forms, refill requests and contact forms, the newest already in the inbox.

New-client forms, refill requests and contact forms from the site land in your inbox, next to texts and calls.

  • Book online

The next open online booking times for each appointment type, inside the hours the practice manager set.

Pet parents book from any page, inside the appointment types and hours your practice manager sets.

  • Free redesigns

The animal hospital's website in a fresh design, with a kitten at its exam, the same pages and a Book online button.

When the site starts to look dated, our team redesigns it at no extra cost. Your pages and words carry over.

Your new site, sketched on a call

Email us your current site's address before the call. In half an hour we'll sketch the first pages we'd write for you. Month to month, no setup fee, live in 14 days.

I used to fix the site myself on Sunday nights. Now I send one email and our hours are right.

27 fewerquestions by phone each week

Pet parents used to call to ask if we see rabbits. The service pages answer that, so the phone is calmer.

Website FAQs

Before your practice moves sites

Type domain, edits or rankings, and only those questions stay.

8 questions

What will a vet website cost us?

A vet website from us has no price of its own. All three come in one monthly plan, priced on a 30-minute call.

Is our team expected to write any of the content?

You don't write any of it. After one call with your practice manager, our team writes every page, bio and service description.

How long is the build?

The build takes two weeks from our first call, and you approve every page before anything goes up.

Will a redesign hurt the Google rankings my old site has?

A redesign done with care keeps your rankings: we carry over the pages that rank and point every old web address at its new page.

Can our staff log in and edit pages?

Our team makes every edit, as many as you need. Email us the change and we put it up.

Who owns the website and the domain name?

The site and the domain stay with CompanionBooked as part of your plan. Our team hosts, renews and edits both for you.

Does the site have online booking and chat?

Yes. Every page has a booking button for the visit types you pick, plus a chat box that answers questions day and night and hands the rest to your CSRs. Recent Google reviews appear on the site as well.

Can one site cover two locations?

Yes. A multi-location site gives each practice a page for its hours, phone number, DVMs and calendar, under the one name pet parents know.
